  1. Depending on the nature of our interaction with you, Wisdom Tuition Centre may collect personal information including:

    • Student information, such as name, age, date of birth, school, class level, academic information, attendance records, assessment results and learning progress;

    • Parent/guardian information, such as name, relationship to the student, telephone number, WhatsApp contact details, email address and other contact information;

    • Registration and enrolment information, including programme, class, timetable, learning format and other information provided during registration;

    • Payment information, including payment records and information relating to tuition fees;

    • Communication records, including messages, enquiries, requests and other communications between you and the Centre;

    • Information relevant to student health, safety or participation, where such information is voluntarily provided and reasonably necessary for the Centre to support the student;

    • Photographs, videos, student work, testimonials or achievements, where these are collected or used with appropriate permission; and

    • Other information reasonably necessary for the provision and administration of our tutoring services.

  2. We may also collect information when you contact us, submit forms, communicate through WhatsApp or other designated channels, visit our Centre, or interact with our website.
     

2. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
 

  1. Personal information may be collected directly from students, parents/guardians, tutors, staff or other individuals when they:

    • complete an application or registration form;

    • provide information for enrolment or class administration;

    • communicate with the Centre;

    • make enquiries or requests;

    • provide payment or payment-related information;

    • provide information relating to a student's learning, attendance, health or safety; or

    • otherwise voluntarily provide information to the Centre.

  2. Where appropriate, we may also receive information from a parent/guardian on behalf of a student.
     

3. PURPOSES OF COLLECTING AND USING PERSONAL INFORMATION
 

Wisdom Tuition Centre may collect and use personal information for purposes including:

  • processing student applications and registrations;

  • organising classes, timetables and attendance;

  • providing tutoring and educational services;

  • monitoring and supporting student learning and academic progress;

  • communicating with students and parents/guardians;

  • administering tuition fees, payments and related records;

  • managing temporary halts, withdrawals and other enrolment matters;

  • maintaining educational and administrative records;

  • supporting student health, safety and well-being where relevant information has been provided;

  • responding to enquiries, requests, complaints or concerns;

  • improving our classes, teaching materials, curriculum and Centre operations;

  • managing photographs, videos, student work, testimonials or achievements where appropriate consent has been obtained; and

  • complying with applicable legal, regulatory or administrative requirements.
     

We will generally use personal information only for purposes reasonably connected with the provision and administration of our services.
 

4. STUDENT ACADEMIC AND ATTENDANCE INFORMATION
 

  1. Student academic information, assessment results, attendance records, learning progress and related information may be collected and maintained for educational and administrative purposes.

  2. Such information may be used by authorised tutors and Centre personnel where reasonably necessary to provide, manage or improve the student's tutoring services.

  3. Student academic and attendance information will not be publicly disclosed except where permitted by the parent/guardian, necessary for legitimate Centre operations, or otherwise permitted or required by law.
     

5. PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEOS AND STUDENT WORK
 

  1. Wisdom Tuition Centre may take or receive photographs, videos, student work, testimonials or records of student achievements in connection with Centre activities.

  2. Identifiable photographs, videos, student work, testimonials or achievements will not be used for promotional or publicity purposes without appropriate consent.

  3. Where appropriate, the Centre may use anonymised student work or achievements for educational, promotional or other legitimate purposes where the individual student cannot reasonably be identified.

  4. Parents/guardians may contact the Centre regarding questions or concerns about the use of identifiable photographs, videos or student work.
     

6. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
 

  1. Wisdom Tuition Centre will not sell or rent students' or parents'/guardians' personal information to third parties.

  2. Personal information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, including to:

    • authorised tutors, staff or personnel of Wisdom Tuition Centre;

    • service providers who assist the Centre with administrative, communication, technology, payment or other operational functions;

  1. Wisdom Tuition Centre may use WhatsApp, telephone, email or other designated communication channels to communicate with students and parents/guardians.

  2. Such communications may include information relating to class schedules, attendance, fees, announcements, student progress, replacement arrangements and other Centre matters.

  3. Parents/guardians should be aware that third-party communication platforms operate according to their own terms and privacy practices.

  4. The Centre will take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessarily sharing personal information through communication channels and will use such channels for legitimate Centre purposes.
     

8. WEBSITE AND ONLINE INFORMATION
 

  1. Our website may contain general information about Wisdom Tuition Centre, our classes, services, activities and contact methods.

  2. Where you voluntarily provide personal information through our website or other online channels, the information may be used for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.

  3. Our website or third-party services used in connection with the website may collect limited technical information, such as information relating to website usage or device connections, depending on the services and technologies used.

  1. Wisdom Tuition Centre will retain personal information for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including educational, administrative, accounting, record-keeping or legal purposes.

The Malaysian Personal Data Protection framework recognises rights including being informed about processing, access to personal data and correction of personal data.
 

13. PERSONAL INFORMATION RELATING TO STUDENTS BELOW 18
 

  1. Wisdom Tuition Centre provides tutoring services to students who may be below 18 years of age.

  2. Where a student is below 18, we generally communicate with and obtain relevant information from the student's parent or legal guardian for registration, administration, communication and other matters relating to the student's tutoring services.

  3. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing information that is reasonably necessary for the Centre to safely and appropriately provide its services to the student.
     

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE
 

  1. Wisdom Tuition Centre may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operations, practices, technology or applicable requirements.

  2. The latest version will be made available through our website.

  3. Where appropriate, significant changes may also be communicated through the Centre's usual communication channels.

  4. The version and effective date shown at the beginning of this Privacy Notice indicate the current version applicable to our services.
